Lee became fascinated by the natural world and developed an interest in the visual arts at a very young age.

He started out sketching and painting  nature, and used photography as an aid to help observations in the field.

When he reached his teens,photography won out to become Lee’s major passion in life.  

 

Lee has spent many years studying animal behavior,natural habitats and field locations.
This gave him a firm grounding in nature photography.


He became a professional photographer in 1989.

In 1990 he qualified with The British Institute for Professional Photography,

in 1994 with The Master Photographers Association

and in 1997 he became a craftsman with The Guild of Photographers.

Lee has won many awards from national competitions and professional bodies.

Many of Lee’s images grace the pages of photographic magazines, but of late he has
specialised in producing limited edition fine art prints for sale in galleries across the UK.

Lee's Holidays and Workshops, for the Landscape and Wildlife photographer have been running since 2001.

Lee now lives in Shetland but travels extensivly around the world with clients from his businesses
